A new year
As we transition from 2024 to 2025, we have an opportunity for a major reset with our business. Regardless of how we ended December, it’s on to January and the rest of the year. We might be embarking on a career path as we begin the year, just starting out in business, winding down our business, or somewhere in between.
Regardless of where we are professionally, there is so much we can do to affect and impact the lives of people in our community to help them achieve the quality of life they are seeking as they continue to live in their present homes.
We need to determine where we are, what skills we possess, which ones we may want to acquire or perfect, and the best way to connect with the marketplace to help the people who need help to remain living in their homes well as they age in place.
Having a plan
Wanting to serve people and desiring to help people modify their homes is a great start, but it requires more than just a desire. To be effective in our markets and provide the service that will be meaningful to our clients, regardless of their needs or abilities, we need to have a plan.
We need to determine what types of services we want to provide and who we want to help. We can’t help everyone regardless of how much we might like to do so. Therefore, we must decide what services we want to provide, the price point, the geographic service area, and the characteristics of those we feel we can serve the best.
In these early days of 2025, it’s time to formulate our strategy and determine how to integrate our desires with the needs of the marketplace so that we can serve those who need our help.
